The activity that most prominently defined the STA in Rome was the organization of scientific meetings in Slovenik, the so-called Roman Symposia. The first Roman symposium in Slovenik, dedicated to missions, began on October 5, 1981. The materials of all symposia (except the first one) have been preserved in printed form in a unique collection named after a selected personality from various parts of Slovenia, abroad and emigration.
